Minimum requirements
Education: Secondary‑school completion.
Training/experience: Completion of a college certificate or vocational course in equipment or mechanical repair or other mechanical equipment or several months of on the job training will be provided.
Language: Functional English – (read manuals, complete work‑orders, discuss repairs with staff).
Physically able to lift up to 45 kg, work in noisy/greasy environments and follow safety protocols.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct thorough examinations of equipment and tools to identify any faults or servicing needs.
Remove and replace damaged or deteriorated parts and components using appropriate hand tools, power tools, or purpose‑built devices.
Verify and fine‑tune restored equipment to ensure it operates smoothly and meets performance standards.
Carry out scheduled upkeep tasks, such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments, to prevent breakdowns.
Perform precise calibrations with manual instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Noisy workshop; exposure to grease, oil, and mechanical parts
Physically demanding: standing, crouching, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs
Working with hand and power tools, occasionally in tight spaces
Essential Skills:
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting
Reading and understanding manuals, diagrams, and parts lists
Clear communication and teamwork
Time management and ability to work independently
